French Country Interiors

French Shabby Chic Interiors

Interior Design for me is all about affordable furniture and accessorises with a few key pieces that all come together to look amazing. Which is why I love the whole shabby chic/french rustic feel for bedroom interiors. It means charity shopping for vintage perfume bottles, restoring old furniture and pretty floral fabrics.

As you can see the bedroom above incorporates all these elements with the main focus being the beautiful Layezee bed which gives a pop of needed colour.

To achieve this sort of look you actually want to take on a few DIY projects. First by looking in charity shops and also looking at auctions for old furniture. Restoring furniture is a lot easier that is sounds, especially when you are wanting that rustic finish. Just some white or cream matte paint and sand paper will do the job perfectly! You can even make your own dressing screen if you are more use to DIY as it really is only 3 panel of wood and hinges.

As for the bed which is the focal point of any bedroom so you really want to go for something that looks amazing but will stand you the test of time and feel amazing to sleep on. French Country beds from Layezee are perfect for this style of interior as they not only incorporate lovely florals but are also low rise so to give the illusion of a higher ceiling which is reminiscent of french grandeur.

On a side note don't you just love the idea of the coat hooks on the wall next to the wardrobe for scarves and bags!

Fee xo.
